Project Overview

The project involved the installation of a new brass shower drain body assembly. Our team was tasked with removing the existing plastic shower drain body assembly and replacing it with a more durable brass version. This required cutting a small section of 2” ABS piping and coupling it with the new assembly. The job was completed with thorough testing to ensure no leaks were present.

Job Details

Upon arrival, our technician met with the homeowner, Ryan, to discuss the work process. The technician set up drop cloths to minimize cleanup and began by removing the old shower drain body assembly. The new brass shower drain body assembly was installed with a plumber’s putty seal and anchored to the shower pan using the provided mounting hardware. A new length of 2” ABS drainage piping was then connected to the existing p-trap.

Testing and Completion

After installation, the shower was run for 15 minutes to confirm there were no leaks. The technician collected the invoice amount, ensuring all aspects of the job were satisfactory. The project was completed efficiently, demonstrating Cornel’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
